Astrology is practical and scientific exposition of fate and destiny. The science of Astrology is based on Astronomy. Literally for a common man it should be understood as the study of influence of movements of planets on human and terrestrial affairs. |
This science is based on the relationship of the Sun, the Moon and the other Planets of the solar system have towards the Earth and its inhabitants. There is some sort of influence being exerted on Earth from the Sun and the Moon and other Planets of Solar System. We are living in a real sea of vibratory energies which unerringly and equitably supply the means of creating, maintaining and destroying the life and its activities. Planetary Rays are unseen vibrations, which affect biological and psychological processes of living beings. Astrology is the most practical and scientific exposition of fate and destiiny. Those who, know Astrology, can predict in a way what will take place in future. But only the creator BRAHMA can say with certainty "What Will Definitely Happen." |
Astrology has 3 broad divisions |

What is an Ascendant? |
The first house in the horoscope is known as the Ascendant. It is that Zodiac sign which influences the native at time of birth on earth .The Ascendant signifies the shape of the body , limbs , hair , physical appearance , stature , complexion , health , fame , character , habits , disposition, mood ,knowledge, strength and weakness. This Zodiac has also been divided into 27 equal parts, which are known as Asterisms or nakshaktras.
All planets have influence on human life in one way or the other. The two planets, which have maximum, impact on human life are- The Sun and The Moon. |
Effect of Sun on human life. |
The Sun is the center of life on earth. It is the most important of all planets. This is the gravitational center and source of light and heat to our planetary system. Days and nights come due to sun. We get rains and different seasons. It gives vital energy to all living things. The existence of life on earth is due to the influence of sun. |
Effect of Moon on human life. |
The Moon is the nearest planet and has great influence on the life of human as well as on the other Earthly bodies. During the full moon period more babies are born, more blood is lost from wounds, mentally ill people become uncontrollable and alcoholics feel drunk even if they consume small quantities of alcohol. Tides come due to the influence of Moon. To increase the growth and length of hair cutting should be done on full moon day. The removal of hair (waxing and threading) should be done on no moon day. There are many such examples. In a similar way all other planets have some effect on human life. |
Aims Of Astrology |
To place the science of astrology before the world in its true light as a science and religion too, and not as a jumble of fortune telling trash. It is a truth told by stars with regard to our destiny-revealed and unfolded. The aim of astrology is to dispel the fear of the unknown and to give scope for the free play of efforts. It gives us advantage of knowing ourselves, our inner circumstances, our motivations, our impulses, our strength and our weaknesses. The limit of accuracy of an astrologer depends on the intelligence, insight, intuitive capacity, sincerity and of course "The GRACE OF GOD." |
small talent can lie with in a person if the person trains that talent, uses it; nourished it- it can be transformed into a great ability. Try to emphasize the good traits and de- emphasize the bad traits. |

Importance of Vimshottari Maha Dasha |
“Maha Dasha” is called the “Great Period” in a persons life. Out of many Dasha systems, “Vimshottari” is one of them. This Dasha system works on the basis of Nakshatras. The start period of a particular Mahadasha at the birth of an individual will be based on the planet ruling the birth constellations, or JanmaNakshatra. Our Sages have taken 120 years as maximum lifespan of human beings. They have divided these 120 years among 9 planets. Following is the particular sequence of planets :
1. |
Ketu – 7 Years |
4. |
Moon – 10 Years |
6. |
Rahu – 18 Years |
8. |
Saturn – 19 Years |
2. |
Venus – 20 Years |
5. |
Mars - 7 Years |
7. |
Jupiter – 16 Years |
9. |
Mercury – 17 Years |
3. |
These major Periods can be further divided into Sub, Sub-Sub, Sub-Sub-Sub periods. Forcasting can be done accurately based on these periods. life of a person (good or bad phases) passes according to the Mahadasha. So, it is unlikely that any person will repeat his MahaDashas. |
SADE-SATI in Hindu System |
It is a seven & half years period of Saturn, which comes every after roughly 30 years, when Saturn is transiting through 12th house, 1st house & 2nd house from the Natal Moon, this is called Sade Sati or in other words when Saturn is 45° behind from Natal moon & is 45° ahead of Natal Moon, this total period is called Sade Sati . This is a period of trials & hardships, one has to give the test of patience. But remember Saturn delays but never denies. |
